Bible Verse:

Romans 6:22-23  But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Announcements:

  • Sophomores and Juniors – Capital Area Career Center Open house is January 29 from 5-7 pm. 
  • Sophomores and Juniors –  applications for CACC next year must be turned in by Thursday, January 29 to Mrs. Daniel or Ms. Goetsch.  

 

  • The following students need to turn in their book from last semester:  World Geography:  Aaron, Hannah, Ryan, Presley, Charley, Alyanah    Government:  Aaron, Kahne, Ella A, Evie, Caleb A,   Chemistry:  Charley, Carma
  • Service Hours:  Journey to the Cross on Saturday March 18 1-4pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  If you would like to help please email Jessica at [email protected]  by February 13th.
  • Guest p-ass request forms for the Winter Dance, along with a copy of guest’s photo ID, are due to Mrs. Miller by Tuesday, January 27.

 

Sports Update:

The Scholastic Bowl team had a good showing during the 3rd week of league play.  The team played shorthanded for all 3 matches and lost heartbreakers to Maroa-Forsyth and Eisenhower but eeked out a victory against Lincoln.  AJ continues to shine and the freshmen boys all contributed.

The Varsity boys team came up short in an exciting overtime game at Lincolnwood last night.

Activity Spotlight shines on:

Caleb P in Dual Credit Composition for excellent academic performance on a single project, assignment, or test.

Judah in Dual Credit Composition for excellent academic performance on a single project, assignment or test.

Maddow in German 1 for major improvement in attitude and/or academics.

Peyton in Physics for excellent academic performance on a single project, assignment or test, consistent positive effort in class or on homework.

Carter in Sports Business/Marketing for excellent analysis of Sports Articles, great attitude in class.

Hannah in Digital Photography for a great recreation project.  Hannah is always going above and beyond to help her fellow classmates.
