JV Baseball at home vs Springfield High

Sports Update: 

Baseball took a 13-1 loss to Nokomis in conference action.  They look to avenge the loss Friday at home.

Soccer lost 2-1 to Unity but played a great game on the evening.

Softball won 14-3 agonist New Berlin.  Skylar had a two run home run over the centerfield!  She also had 2 RBIs off a double down the left field line.

Boys and Girls track had a great meet last night despite dealing with some serious wind!  Overall, the team had FOURTEEN personal records broken last night!  Notable accomplishments were Carrie Ann extending her triple jump by over 3 feet; John improving his mile time by 11 seconds; Ryan taking 5 seconds off his 800; and Emmett adding an additional 4 feet 9 inches to his shot put throw!  Lastly, Jeramy broke the outdoor school record with a triple jump of 45 feet 8 inches!  Great job team!  Congrats to the entire team for putting in the hard work!

Academic Spotlight shines on:

Eddie in Economics for he has a good understanding of the subject and general knowledge.

Ryan in Spanish 1 for improvement in effort and academic performance on our last test and quiz – keep it up, Rico!

Maggie in Spanish 2 for consistent positive and hard-working attitude all year long!

Gage in Films for good attention to film details and excellent answers to questions.  Meeting class expectations well.

Derrick and Max in Publications for excellent teamwork on our latest round of yearbook design.  Great job pulling together resources and making several versions until they had the best final product possible.

Activity Spotlight shines on:

Evie T and Aly H for Painting for the Auction.  They painted multiple pieces for the Auction and their work was outstanding!  They did this in their free time and did it because they have amazing hearts and a love for art!  They are incredible.  So proud of you ladies!
