Announcements:

• Talent Show auditions will be next week, February 9-12.  All types of acts will be considered, and do not have to be complete at the time of audition, as long as you have a plan for a polished act by the show on April 9.  Talk with Mrs. Deem or watch for the QR code to pop up in halls to arrange an audition slot.

• Students go to clubs at break.

• Auditions for the spring play “8 Minutes Left” on February 17-19 at 3:30.  There are posters in the halls and you can borrow scripts from Mr. Bulava.

• The Youth Job Fair will be held March 3 at the Crowne Plaza from 12:00-2:00.  There are businesses offering summer and part time employment  opportunities for high school students.

• Service hours available!  Springfield Federation of Music Clubs Festival on February 15 and 22, 12:45-4:30.  Volunteers are needed to help with registration, scorekeeping and assisting families.  Contact Kristin Maletich  217.725.2771 or [email protected]

Athletics of the Week:

Ella in cheer for her positive attitude even when she couldn’t fully participate.  She always has a smile for everyone.

Reeve in girls basketball.  She is hardworking, very coachable and is getting better everyday.  She also helped organize the amazing senior posters for senior day on Saturday.

Caleb P in scholastic bowl.  He answered several toss-up and bonus questions during the last week of league play.  He courageous his teammates and keeps things lighthearted even during tough matches and situations.

Emmett in basketball for his solid play and point production in the paint in recent games.
