Bible Verse:

Announcements:

  • Sophomores are having a fundraiser at Cane’s on Friday from 10am – 10pm
  • Anyone interested in Scholastic Bowl, sign up in the office by October 1st.
  • UIS is waiving application fees until December 1.  They are also hosting open houses in October and November.
  • St Al’s  is looking for student volunteers to oversee crafts and games at their Family Reading Night tonight.  It will run 6:00-7:30.  Interested students can email Miss Kate Koster at  [email protected]
  • Seniors interested in majoring in music in college, see Mrs. Daniel for more information about scholarships being offered by SouthEast Missouri State University.

This week’s Academic Spotlight shines on:

Mikey in Films for ready, respectful, responsible class leadership and excellent effort in writing assignments.

Emma P in Chorus for excellent class participation, behavior and/or leadership, consistent positive attitude, consistent positive effort in class or on homework.

Carrie Ann in Religion 9 for excellent class participation, behavior, and/or leadership, consistent positive effort in class or on homework.

Ella in Religion 12 for excellent class participation, behavior, and/or leadership.

Mackenzy in Religion 12 for excellent class participation, behavior, and/or leadership.

Piper in ASL for excellent class participation, behavior, and/or leadership, consistent positive attitude.  Piper was in the community doing some work when a person approached her and another person looking to sell some item.  The salesperson used sign language to speak.  Piper was able to communicate with this person and help him make a sale.  Excellent job taking classroom education and using it outside of school.

Nyah in Spanish 4 for excellent academic performance and a sincere desire to learn the language – she even still has ALL of her verb charts from last year!
