Announcements:

• The Springfield-Decatur Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be giving away 10 scholarships.  If interested, applications are online on the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln website (ffll.org) in the scholarship and grants section.  Applications must be submitted no later than March 1, 2026.  

• All Students:  Please check lost & found, there are several water bottles, shoes, and etc.

• Penny Wars Results as of today:  1st place Faculty with 111 points, 2nd Seniors 75 points, 3rd Freshman with 225 points, 4th Juniors 253 points, 5th Sophomore 507.  We have raised a total of $19.92, so keep bringing in money to help support Rescue Ranch!

• Service Hours:  Journey to the Cross on Saturday March 28 1-4pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  If you would like to help please email Jessica at [email protected]  by February 13th.

• Springfield-Decatur Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta has ten scholarships this year.  Seniors who are interested can apply online on the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln website (cfll.org)  Applications must be submitted no later than March 1.

• Beta Sigma Psi  is offering a $3,000 scholarship given out to a Lutheran male freshman attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Fall 2026. There is no obligation to join Beta Sigma Psi to receive this award. Runner-ups may be eligible for $1,000. Our scholarship application may be found online at https://forms.gle/6Ey69wMutiSX8Y9VA. All applications are due February 28th, 2026.

• The Beta Sigma Psi Educational Foundation offers additional scholarships and grant opportunities for members of the Lutheran community. These opportunities can be found here https://www.betasigmapsi.org/scholarships-for-high-school-students/ 

• The Community Foundation’s scholarship program is accepting submission through March 1.   Students may access the application thru    https://cfll.org/Grants-Scholarships/Scholarships

Sports Update:

Tonight the Crusaders had a battle with Carlinville.  With the defense working for them in many areas, this helped wheel them to a productive 48-38 win tonight.  Way to go boys!

JV traveled down for their final game of the tournament at Lincolnwood taking on the host team.  It was a close battle but they lost 47-38 in a very tough match up!  Braydan was named to the all-tournament team.   They finished in 4th place for the tourney!
