Bible Verse:

 Genesis 9:12-15  And God said, “this is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:  I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.  When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh.  And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.

Announcements:

• The Engineering Society of Illinois – Capital Chapter is giving out scholarships to students who plan to go on to study engineering in college.  The deadline is January 31.  To get an application please see Mrs. Daniel or Ms. Goetsch.

• Honor card applications need to be turned in by the end day.

• Students interested in engineering and  attending Shadow Hanson in February, see Mrs. Daniel by Friday, January 16.

• Sophomores and Juniors – Capital Area Career Center Open house is January 29 from 5-7 pm. 

• Sophomores and Juniors –  Pick up applications for next year CACC  from Ms. Goetsch or Mrs. Daniel and turn in by Thursday, January 29.

The boys’ basketball team lost to Athens 28-48 in the Sangamon County Tournament last night.
