Bible Verse:

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.  26 And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God,27 whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me! Job 19:25–27

Announcements:

  • If you’d like to purchase a copy of last year’s yearbook, contact Mrs. Kaufman. [email protected]

  • Coach Pickett is preparing for another awesome Scholastic Bowl season.  Last year’s team exceeded expectations and even won a regional match.  Matches do not begin until later this year or early next year, but Coach Pickett would like to start practices in the near future.  If you have any interest, please email Coach Pickett at [email protected].  All are welcome.

  • There will be no traditional auditions for the fall play. Students interested in acting in “The Iliad, the Odyssey, and all of Greek Mythology in 99 minutes” should talk to Mr. Bulava to get a script and let him know about any potential conflicts. Rehearsals begin next week and will be held directly after school (3:30-4:30 pm) and in the evening (7:00-8:00 pm), depending on the day and other school events.

Sports Updates:

The Crusaders soccer traveled to North Mac for the 3rd place game in the Carlinville Kickoff Classic. It was a great match-up vs. a very strong Lincolnwood team. The Crusaders got a great goal off a free kick from Silas A and a goal by Ebrima S. The defense played lockdown aggressive defense to help Parker S post his first shutout of the season. It was awesome to come back with the 3rd place hardware. Great job boys!
