Announcements:

• Attention all techies!  Mrs. Koopman has been clearing out cabinets and storage spaces.  She has multiple accessories for sale.  See the list posted outside her classroom for the items available and the prices.  Please see her before or after school to make your purchase.  All items will be recycled if not purchased by Friday, September 12

• Any seniors interested in attending the education fair at the Orr Building on the State Fairgrounds from 12:30-2:30 on Wednesday, October 8, please let Mrs. Daniel know by Friday, September 12.  Students must be in good standing with academics and attendance.

• Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors interested in participating in Senator McClure’s Youth Advisory Council this year, please let Mrs. Daniel know by Friday, September 12.

• Any students interested in serving on Mayor Misty Buscher’s Youth Council, please let Mrs. Daniel know by Friday, September 12.  For additional information about what is involved, you may speak to our current student representative Jeramy.

• Seniors interested in majoring in music in college, See Mrs. Daniel for more information about scholarships being offered by SouthEast Missouri State University.

Sports Update: 

The varsity volleyball team came out on fire vs conference foe Tri-City, 25-2, 25-9.  Kaylyn started the game off at the service line getting us 6-7 points immediately with 3 aces mixed in.  Avery led the team with 10 kills while Skylar offered up 13 assist.  Carrie Ann led with 11 digs in the back row.  Way to go girls!

Athletes of Week:

Jovian is a hardworking and great skilled player.  He has been a big help in training and games by being a leader by example.  Your care for the team did not go unnoticed.

Connor in golf for his improved play and positive attitude on the course.  He was the Crusaders low scorer in the Williamsville meet at The Rail this week.

Mikey in football for his hard work at learning to play quarterback for first time as well as being first LuHi player in the coop to start at a skilled position such as the quarterback.

Lydia in cross country.  Lydia has been a top runner on the girls side and took 6th place at the Jacksonville meet earning her first high school medal!

Kaylynn in volleyball.  Kaylynn came out on fire at the service line on Thursday.  She has been working hard and doing whatever it takes to help her team.
