Tonight’s Activities:

This weekend is the Crusader Classic Volleyball tournament at Glenwood High School in Chatham. Our girls play at 4:30 and 6:30 Friday, and 10:30 and 12:30 Saturday.  Our students are able to attend at no cost to them.

Sport Updates: 

The Crusaders soccer team traveled to Athens, and the Warriors did come out to play and went up 1-0 at half. The Crusaders came out at half fired up, but their shots flew over the goalie nest. With 7:14 left in the game, Ebrima scored to tie it at 1’s. Just over a minute later, Ebrima found Justin E for the game winner. It was a wonderful game.

In JV soccer action, the Crusaders won 1-0. We can not remember who got the goal. O, wait, it was Parker S. Great job team!

The Lutheran High Boys Golf Team had their second contest of the season when they competed in a 4-team match on Wednesday afternoon at Oak Hills Country Club in Girard.  The Crusaders finished in second place four shots behind Palmyra Northwestern and ahead of Pleasant Plains and South County JV.

Congratulations to golfer Braydan who tied for 1st place individually with a 39.  Myles finished third with a 41 while Zach finished in 6th.  The team is back on the course on Friday in Staunton.

Athletes of the Week: 

Braydan Damm in golf. He tied for 1st place individually at Girard where the Crusaders finished 2nd out of 4 teams.

Lucas S in soccer for helping the team go 2-0 this week. 2 goals and a assist with great leadership and work in the midfield

Service Hours Opportunity:

Join us as we collect donated food and produce from vendors at the Downtown Springfield Farmers market. All donated items are then delivered to the Grace Lutheran Food Pantry at the corner of 7th and Capitol. You are needed to load bags, pull loaded wagons, unload bags to the truck and then unload the truck and carry bags into the food pantry.
