Welcome, Prospective St. Mark’s Families!
We understand the importance of choosing the right school for your child. We hope the information on this page will lead you toward becoming part of our St. Mark's family. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 626-968-0428.
Kindergarten through 8th grade enrollment at St. Mark’s Lutheran School is open to any child starting at age 5 (by September 1) through students entering 8th grade, whose parents desire that their child have a Christian education experience.
Preschool enrollment is open to any child between the ages of 2 and 5, offering programs of 2, 3, or 5 days per week (only 2-year-olds may attend 2 days per week). Junior Kindergarten is a 5 day per week program designed for students who miss the cut-off date for Kindergarten and want a program specifically designed to prepare them for the next year.
3 Steps to Join the St. Mark’s Family!
Once the Online Application Form is completed, visit the School Office to pay the following:

- First Month’s Tuition (August)
Provide the following to the School Office:
- Immunization Card
- Birth Certificate/Passport
- Copy of most recent Report Card (1st–8th grades)

Note: The above fees and tuition should be written as one check and are non-refundable. If your child does not attend St. Mark's in August or withdraws at any other time, the Enrollment Fee, Family Commitment Fee, New Student Testing Fee (if needed), and first month’s tuition will not be refunded.
Order of Admissions
Enrollment priority is given to the children currently attending St. Mark’s; second, brothers and sisters of children currently enrolled; third, children of the congregation; fourth, children on the waiting list; and then it is open to any child in the community who would benefit from the St. Mark’s experience.
Each student is enrolled for a period of one year only. Re-enrollment is necessary each year and depends upon the successful completion of the previous grade, parent cooperation with the school, and fulfillment of all financial obligations.
Students with Special Needs
The administration and faculty of St. Mark's Lutheran School wish to remind every family that this school is not geared to accommodate students who demonstrate severe grade level deficiencies or behavioral problems. We will recommend specialized testing when academic deficiencies may be caused by specific learning disabilities and will assist in referrals for alternate school placement as needed.
International Student Requirements
We are currently not accepting International students for the 2023-2024 academic school year. If our policy changes in the future, all International applicants must then either provide copies of student and parent Visas (that do not expire prior to the end of the upcoming academic year) or be eligible to apply for an International I-20. If needed, there is a $150 fee to process the I-20. Other Enrollment fees include the $500 International Fee, the $200 Enrollment fee, the $150 Family Commitment fee, and both first and last months' tuition. This can all be paid via check or cash to the School Office. Additionally, all International Students must take the iTEP Slate-Plus test. Information about the test is found here. Please call the school office at 626-968-0428 to get further detailed information regarding International Applicants.
